How does it work?

The CatBib is attached to your cats collar and hangs over the cats chest. It works by gently interfering with the cats precise timing and coordination skills needed for successful Bird hunting. The CatBib is broad at the bottom, so when the cat lifts its paws to catch the bird, it simultaneously lifts the Catbib, which is then between the cat and the bird. It works by using the simple principle of 'getting in the way'. It really works! and a cat wearing Catbib can run, jump, climb trees, eat, groom and sleep. The Catbib ONLY affects your cats ability to catch and kill birds.

Can I leave CatBib on all the time?

CatBib is designed to be worn when your cat is outside to prevent your cat from killing birds. It should be removed when your cat comes inside. Putting the CatBib on and off is a great way of interacting with your cat and checking them over.

How is CatBib attached to the Collar?

The CatBib is looped over the cats collar and secured with a heavy-duty hook and loop closure. We recommend using an elasticated collar or buckle type collar not a snap-free collar.

Is CatBib safe for my cat to wear?

Completely safe for your cat with lightweight , flexible and stretchy material (weighs about the same as a Blue Tit) and does not interfere with any of your cats usual movements other than those used to catch birds

Can I wash CatBib?

Yes CatBib is machine washable.

In the USA the American equivalent of the RSPB, The 'Audubon' recommends using CatBib and states " Wearing a bib would be good for the estimated millions of birds and other small mammals killed each year by domestic cats" Audubon, Jan-Feb 2008, Volume 110, No. 1, Page 18, Disarming Cats.
