Same internally as the 1FS but its special multi-layered cavity wall provides excellent insulation while also allowing the air to permeate. This makes the 1FW ideal for large hibernating colonies of bats in winter and a roost in summer. This box has housed 180 individual bats as recorded by a conservation group. Internally three grooved wooden panels that can be lifted out for inspection and cleaning with the same roof grill as the 1FS.

Dimensions: External dimensions 38cm circumference x height 50cm. Internal dimensions: 20cm Height 38cm x weight 28kg. Supplied complete with mounting blocks, aluminium nails and fixing instructions. Through continued research Schwegler have expanded it's extensive Bat Range with the 1FFH a universal bat box with numerous innovations and tried and tested features.

The 1FFH is made from wood-crete with an untreated durable wooden interior and allows a wide range of species to occupy the crevices and hollows the box has and helps young bats develop flight and roosting/clinging. Also comes equiped with a forestry approved mounting which also allows lamp post or similar pole mounting. Weather resistant with a high ceiling inabling a favourable climate inside for upto 10 bat species who live in forests. The 1FFH is maintenance-free, self-cleaning and durable. The 1FFH is an ideal retreat for forest inhabiting bats and the box has a larger rear compartment for female colonies to raise young as well as mating common noctules. Site 3 to 5 metres high above ground.
